Privacy

The short version

FMLY Table keeps what you tell it about your cooking so it can be useful to you later. We do not sell it, we do not use it to build an advertising profile of you, and we do not train models on it.

What we collect

If you have not made an account

You can talk to Kaci and get a recipe without signing up. That conversation and any recipe from it are stored on our servers and reachable by the code we give you. There is no account attached, and we do not know who you are. Anyone who has that code can open that recipe — treat it like a key.

If you make an account

• Your email address and password. Handled by Supabase Auth; the password is hashed and we never see it.
• What you tell us about yourself — a name, a handle, how confident you are in a kitchen, what you like cooking.
• Your conversations with Kaci, and the recipes they produce, including every version and the reason you changed it.
• How your cooking went — the ratings, the notes you write, and any photographs you add.
• Your pantry and shopping list.

Allergies and what you avoid

Kaci asks what you cannot eat before writing you anything, and we store that so she does not have to ask twice and cannot forget. That is health information, and we treat it as the most sensitive thing here. It is used for one purpose — keeping it out of your food — and it is never shared, sold, or attached to a recipe you make public.

Who else touches it

We use four companies to run this, and no others. Each gets only what it needs to do its job.

• Anthropic— your conversations with Kaci are sent to Anthropic's API to generate her replies. That is what makes her work.
• Supabase — the database, sign-in, and photo storage. Hosted in the United States.
• Stripe — payments. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us; we store only the customer reference Stripe gives back.
• Vercel — hosting.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We would hand it over if legally compelled, and we would rather tell you first where we are permitted to.

What is public, and only what you choose

Everything you make is private until you share it. Sharing is done one version at a time and is yours to undo. A shared recipe travels with its verdict — the rating and the note about how it went — because that is the point of sharing it. It does not travel with your conversation, your pantry, or anything you told Kaci about what you avoid.

Photographs are stored privately and served through links that expire. There is no public address for your photographs.

What we keep on your device

No cookies — none at all — no analytics, no advertising, and nobody else's code on the page. Four things are kept in your browser: your sign-in, so you are not asked to log in every time; whether you chose light or dark; the answer you gave below; and a list of recipes you make before signing up, so that work can be moved into your kitchen when you create an account.

The first three are what it takes to sign you in and honour what you picked. The fourth is the only optional one, and you can change your mind about it here at any time, as easily as you agreed to it. Clearing your browser data removes all of them. If we ever add anything genuinely optional — analytics is on our roadmap and is not here yet — we will ask you before it runs, not after.

Deleting your account, and what that does not delete

Write to hello@fmlytable.com and we will delete your account. This part is unusual and we would rather be plain about it than have you find out later:

• Deleted: your profile, what you told us about yourself, your allergies, and your saved list.
• Not deleted: the recipes and conversations themselves. They stop being attached to any account, and their codes keep working — so a recipe you shared with a friend still opens for them.

If you want the recipes gone too, say so and we will remove them. Tell us which, or say all of them.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account, because the whole idea is a kitchen that remembers. Conversations from people without accounts are kept for a year and then expire on their own.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to see what we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or receive a copy. Write to hello@fmlytable.com and we will do it. We will not charge you for it and we will not make you worse off for asking.

Children

FMLY Table is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has made an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

If we change this in a way that matters, we will say so here and update the date at the top rather than quietly editing it.
